I love 285 out of Denver. Sounds like the best route plan yet. Us flatlanders get the highways. However, if time allowed it, I am sure back roads would be nice, but again it will take longer.

I rode to Houston last summer and it took me about 22-23 hours!! I think it can be done in 16-18 in a car. My *** won't go more than 120 miles and I need a 15 minute break each time. Minutes add up. Plan at least 2 good days.

I used to live in Bryan. It is 1500 miles to Sturgis any way you go. We used to make it in 3 days each way, but 500 mile days can get to you. Best way is to work you way up to Texline, (fill up in Texline, as I boycott Clayton, NM after the local PoPo staked us out at the restaurant, then "escorted" us out of town once,) then on to Raton, up I25 to 18 in WY, across to Lusk, then on to Deadwood and Sturgis.
