The lower price would give you just the Cell phone and the quality on the Q2 is much better. The Q2 gives you the intercom the GPS as well as Bike to Bike up to 1500 feet. I have not been eable to source the Ear flaps yet but you can get them from Harley part number 98252-07V http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US.

I have been wanting to purchase the Q2 but wanted to try a set first to see if I like it or not. well yesterday I tried my friends set up on my half helmet. I placed the ear pieces in the HD ear pouches and attached the mounting bracket to the outside of the left ear flap with Industrial strength Velcro. The fit was perfect and looks great.

We then went for a 80 mile ride to test it out. up to about 40 MPH I could dial calls with the voice activation, any faster and the system couldn't recognise my voice. I did receive three unplanned phone calls while traveling 75 mph and the other person didn't know I was on my MC. The wind was fairly strong and I was experiencing a lot of buffeting due to my stock windshield on the SG. I placed my left hand over the the mic while speaking and it worked great.

During the whole ride I did get a annoying beep cause by wind or if I made any sounds with my mouth. Ie coughing, talking etc. Not sure what it was about since I didnt have the user manual. The mic boom was sturdy and held in place pretty well even at speeds up to.... well, past 75

if you don't recommend the ear flop attachment, how would you use this with a half helmet?

thanks
