Default Progressive "Air Dragger"? or 416

I'm still researching shocks. Does anyone here have the Air Dragger, or know if you can use it without the compressor. The literature makes it sound like it hooks up to the existing air lines, and the compressor is an option. In that case, what makes them different than the Progressive 416? And is anybody running the 416's? A lot of questions with very few answers.

I'm running the Air Dragger w/compressor. You can run without however I'm not sure of how it compares with the 416's.

So far no problems... Great product and easy to install.

I"m not trying to hack the thread but have a set coming in with the compressor kit this week. Pking, did you add "quick disconnect" connectors just outside the saddle bags? I'm wondering if this will keep us from being able to remove that left saddle bag in the future. Just a thought.

I talked to the lady at Progressive. She said that the shocks can be used without the compressor, you just have to manually pump them up and bleed them to get the units to raise and lower. If you go to the progressive site, they have the specs with rate lbs/in listed for each shock.

From my research, it seemed as though the 416 was a 13" shock, simply a stock replacement. The air dragger is height adjustable with air.

That's something that is confusing. My stock shocks only get between 0 and 20 lbs depending on how much weight I'm hauling. These air draggers state 0 - 150 psi so I'm not thinking the low pressure pump will do. However, this is just my opinion, I'm going with the compressor setup so it will adjust on the fly.

The folks at progressive seem nice enough to answer questions, in fact I think they have a chat feature during the day. We might want to try that to get some questions asked. When I get mine next week and install them, I'll let you know how they worked out.
