Another positive post for FireCap
I'm sure that the ARC mini 125.2 is an AWESOME ap. Not one person has been dis-satisfied. However........................
I can't imagine that a 125.2 mini can hang with the Alpine PDX 4.150, especially being only a 2 channel amp.
Power @ 2 ohms 125 x 4 watts
Power @ 4 ohms (Bridged) 250 x 2 watts
Signal to Noise 92dB
THD .05
Frequency Range 10Hz– 50KHz
Crossover Butterworth (55Hz – 550Hz)
Bass Boost 15dB 45Hz
Fuse 30A x 2
Size 11.6' (L) x 5.15” (W) x 1.7”(H)
as long as the 4 ch ARC puts out close to these numbers, i for one would be completely happy with it...
what most find out at a later date, the alpine, will start to shut down and "protect itself" after a while, if ran in 2 ohm (which its supposed to be stable at)... to avoid this, i am simply adding another amp... what would be better for me is two of the 4ch minis, not the 2ch... they will take up less space, be decent on my battery and have built in fans... they also have technology which helps prevent overload on the amp and shut off due to a bad signal...
although alpine supposedly changed the power supply on the amp (as a rep told me), and he told me the amps love 4 gauge wire, which is also another problem, for me, i forsee having an issue with it, unless i run two... with the setup i have and the space, it should work out either way
some people are more easily satisfied than i am, but i notice the differences with all the changes i make...
