Wow! Guess I dont feel so bad now after reading this thread.
My 08 with 4500 miles sat all winter on a "Harley" charger and came spring it fired right up. Rode like 400 miles so far.
Well it got cold and snowed again so it sat for at least 2 weeks and some 20F nights too.
I went to ride it on Saturday and it was so dead the only lights that worked were the netrual and low oil light. I put the 2 amp charger on it all day and the Harley charger all night to get it back to normal again.
This morning with a steady green light I unplugged it and went to work. 9 hours later it still read 12.1 volts [not running] and it took 25 minutes to go green but it flashed green indicating an overcharge for 10 minutes then steady green.
Are these batteries that lame they cant take it or is something going wrong?
It reads 14.2 volts running. Only thing I did pryor to it setting for 2 weeks was install Hog Tune tweeters so I cant see how plugging wires into the speakers would draw any juice as when the bike sits it is always off and steering locked.
