Intercom question
CB is not regulated anymore and very few agencies or EOC's even listen to it. It's great as was said for large groups especially if you have one in front and a sweeper rider in the back to keep track of riders. Use plain english and talk a little more slowly and your fine on CB.
My buddy and I use it all the time. The only thing to remember is when the CB is on and you want to use the intercom to talk to your passenger they will hear the conversation also. So what we do is whoever is riding in front they keep it on the channel we use and the other changes to one above or below if he wants to talk to me he taps the top of his helmet. And whoever is in the back just goes to the channel we are using keys the mic and talks.

It depends on how you use it. My wife does not like to have it on all the time and so I have it all the way down so that I have to push the button to talk. Now your right if you leave your com on all the time or have it to voice activate then that works, but if you have it down all the way and use the push to talk button then it will talk over the CB. Sorry did not make that clear.
