First HD Lego Set mods completed!
Courtesy of Uncle Sam, I was able to pick up
* An oil cooler
* A parade fan
* Saddle shields
* A center stand
* A stabilizer
* one of FuelMoto's packages (PC-V, Stage-1 and Jackpot mufflers)
* also a headset for my helmet
Granted, most of it's not really _visible_ (except the mufflers) but it's stuff I'd been waiting for.
I'd been waiting for a dry day that I could take everything up to my Dad's house (as he has a solid driveway and I've got, well, dirt), but God was having amusement at my expense and not granting it. Come Sunday, it finally sunnied up. My 13-year-old Navigator decided that, dirt driveway or not, we could _so_ get stuff installed (he _really_ wanted those new pipes in place).
To my surprise, we got the PC-V, the center stand, the saddleshields and the pipes installed. Couldn't put the air cleaner on 'cause my hex wrench set stopped one @#$%! sixteenth of an inch too small. Holding off on the oil cooler and related things for a dry, solid driveway where I can change the oil at the same time.
Was surprised that I seemed to feel a bit more power out of ye bike even without the Stage-1 thing; will be taking notes in coming days to see. The new pipes are definitely louder than the old (stock) ones, but my son has finally pronounced himself pleased with me (as he's long felt that Daddy's quest for Quieter Pipes For Harley is a complete waste of _his_ time). And, of course, once the saddle shields were in place, things cooled off. *sigh*
Still, I, too, can begin listing all the upgrades I've made to my v-twin lego set. : )
