Thank you for your service to our country. I appreciate that very much. But I still think your linkage gives all MC riders a bad image and is just flat out disrespectful. We all want to express ourselfs, but we have an obligation as decent people to respect each other. You are far from the only one that does it, but that does not make it right. If you really want to be cool, be respectful to all. In return you will get respect. Real respect. That is what is really cool. I think you can tell by the responses what most of your MC brothers think. Isn't it the MC brothers that you want respect from? Ride safe brother.
I didnt read all the posts here, so may be playing second fiddle with this tune but In My Opinion.....
First I would NEVER put anything like that on any of my vehicles.
Second, Go for it if that is what you want to say.
I spent 24 years in service to my country to ensure you have the right to express yourself any way in which you choose. If I have to explain to my Grandkids or apologize to my wife for someone else using profane language I will do so. That explanation will include the reason I will stand behind your right to say what you wish.
When we, in general, restrict your language we in turn open the doors to be restricted in what we may say.
Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your loss in the field. Rest my friend you have earned it.
Enough already. This has got to be one of the mellowist expressions used in this day and age. Do kids watch TV? Do they go online? Have you been to a playground lately? I have heard alot worse coming out of kids mouths at the local convenience store than this. Hell, I have heard a ton of worse expressions and words on regular tv also that would be a hell of alot more offensive. Times have changed, in this day and age that is far from being offensive or over the top. Right or wrong it doesn't matter, it is just a fact. You guys are attacking him like he is shoving it down childrens throats. Have you been to a bike show or bar/club lately? You see and hear a hell of alot worse than that. Just because your children hear or see it does not mean that it will offend them or make them repeat it. My daughter, now 16, was brought up around alot worse than that doing swap meets and parties with me all of her life and has never spoken a profane word yet. What your children do and how your children react all stems from how YOU raise them. If you discipline your children properly and teach them right from wrong at an early age then these things will not affect them. I have even heard my daughter correct other children who have said much worse than that saying.
Sorry for the long winded response but this is getting out of hand. That linkage should not be offending anyone nowadays. Just look at most of the myspace blogs from children and I think that would be a hell of alot more offensive.

That seems to be the problem these days. Our society has become coarse and disrespectful. There was a teen that came into the local mall with "I @#ck on the first date" t-shirt on. All I can say is they I'm glad security got to him before I did. Unfortuneatly freedom of expression also gives you the freedom to be a jacka$$. I for one have had enough. How about a little responsibility.
There's nothing wrong with changing your mind after a serious discussion. Intelligent people look at all sides of an issue and make educated decisions. If you posted on here, then said "F*%K you guys, I don't care what any of you say", you would clearly identify yourself as a self absorbed moron.
Since you are possibly being swayed, I suggest a linkage that simply says "VETERAN".
This from jeff georgealas says it all to me: I think a lot of it's just shock value. And when I ride it's an "escape" from the real World, and I'm basically thinking F.T.W. (the non-biking World), I want them all to leave me alone other than bikers, and I figured most bikers would "get that" and agree and most likely laugh. You can obviously see in this forum that a lot of guys don't. Whatever though.
& I second that...it's yer bike. dress it as you please...and if i saw it in a parking lot i would be one of the ones bringing my friends over to it & saying "check this out!"
& also my 6 yr old son can read...and i would not try to "avoid" him seeing such a piece of linkage.
He would read it, smile, & say "daddy, did you see what that says?" He knows that word, maybe never read it in writing before, but knows he can't say it. I refuse to shelter my kid from the real world. I will protect him from it, but he will see it as well.

There are pleanty of guys here that have been to Viet Nam, Iraq and large police departments that don't feel the need to make others feel uncomfortable. It ain't a man thing to use foul language all of the time andbillboard it too. get a new one.
...... a lot of good men & women have given 'that last measure of devotion' for the right we have in this country to express ourselves.
...... that said, i think i prefer the message that came on my stock linkage ... none.
....my motorcycle is an expression of who I am & what I value, not a message to anyone else about what they oughta do.
...... just ride that one safe out there, bro. Thanks for serving.
