The CM-100 will give you 15 cubic feet for $1,595 delivered. If you can’t pack everything you and your wife need into 15 cubic feet you are taking way too much with you.

I use UPS always, but I have a planned itinerary. Have never had a problem....Ever. If we go for two weeks, wife takes to much stuff.....Ya know women like choices, or so I've learned. I just ship a box of stuff to a hotel/motel we are staying at 7 days in, then send home the dirty stuff. Less to lug into the motel each night too.
Also, since I've lost my bags, or have had them delayed so many times on airplanes, if I can't take everything I need via carry-on, then I ship everything. I Especially send via UPS when we go skiing. Everything is there when I arrive. I also take the return labels with me and packing tape to send the boxes home.

One idea I heard on the forum is instead of bringing a bunch of tee shirts, just use the ones you buy as you travel along. That would save me some space.

I do laundry at home my wife does not, on vacation no one is doing laundry. Around half way we ship dirty cloths home. Been doing that for more than 10 years works great.

Interesting thread ... I've been on the road up to a month at a time and never sent myself anything. I've sent lots of stuff home from trips, but that's a little different. I'm curious, what kind of stuff do you send yourself on the road?

I have a FLHTC {Electra Glide Classic}I ship extra clothes. Don't like to travel with the bike loaded to the max it gets too top heavy for me. I keep my clothes in my bags. I keep the trunk open for helmets maps sun glasses phone and stuff you know. If I head for the mountains like Colorado I ship my leathers and cool weather stuff even in July. When I go to the ocean I ship swim suit flip flops tanning oil you know beach stuff. Pack it in a cooler then in a box and presto all your stuff and a cooler to boot for extended stays. I usually take 1 or 2 days worth on the bike. But if I plan to stay a week or two I ship some nice clothes along for when the wife makes me go to some fancy place she always comes up with.

Take your oldest underwear and socks and throw them away as you use them. No need to haul all that funk around.

This is the ultimate reason on why I bought the Ultra after owning a RKC as my lady and I often get frustrated packing our stuff. Go big or stay home is what everybody said to me so I decided to go BIG. Now, I am ULTRA happy rider with no worries in the back of my head on what to pack or not as we got lotsa room even with T-Bag Roller Dekker sitting on the luggage rack.
