Hey guys,
Starting to get good weather here in the sunny south. I have a 06 Ultra (out of warranty) and just recently the intercom between rider and passenger is intermittantly working, radio works great just the voice between rider and passenger or the opposite. Sometimes works and then next time it will not. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so was it a simple fix? I have done a little trouble shooting with the upper and lower cords to the helmet and that does not seem to be the problem. Also does the AVC suppose to work through the headsets or only through the speakers? The owner's manual does not specify.
Did ya try adjust the VOX? With me I like the music thru the speakers not the helmet and to keep the loud music from brakin the mic I turn the VOX way down so ya gotta say a word first to break the mic open, then speak The AVC works thru my headset or speakers
Yes sir, I have adjusted the VOX from max sensitivity to where it is on all the time. When the system is not working the VOX will not even work when it is set at the least sensitivity and is open.
The AVC only works when using the speakers not the headset.
My module on my first head set went out. Did the same thing as you described. In the end the audio was very scratchy sounding when it worked.
Does it do it with both headsets?
I mean does the riders not work and passengers work or both?
You can pin point if it's the cable by using the other cord on the one that isn't working. Although it may not be heard but you can hear it transmit through your head phones.
You can also see it key the mike on the radio
