Question Windshield question

I currently have the stock 12" shield on my Ultra. It works great, and if I sit straight up which I try to do I see over it good enough. When I sit a little lower, it hits right in the middle of my vision. I was thinking a 10" shield would take care of this and still give the wind protection. What is is good windshield that doesn't cost a lot just in case it doesn't work, and I decide to switch back to the stock. I prefer the clear shield.

I have the same issue on my 00EGC, I bought a 10" shield installed it and went about 10 miles, turned around and put the stock one back on. The wind was catching the under side of the duck bill on my helmet and pulling my head back. I would rather no windshield than a 10". Just me.

I went with the Clearview but if you do some searching on the site you will find tons of threads and information on windshields and how to size.

I have the same problem on my '09 UC. I took the windshield off and shaved about a quarter inch from the mounting holes with a Dremel using a round attachment. It helped just enough for me to be somewhat comfortable looking through it, but I've decided to wait before doing any more work to it since I intend to change the bars and seat.

I also have had some luck cutting windshields with a jigsaw from the top. Just be sure to apply tape to the good side so you don't scratch it!
