Default Broke Street Glide Seat

The other day I was riding and went through the gears pretty fast but I notice that the seat had shifted backwards. Once I got home i took it off and found that the bracket that bolts to the fender had broke the plastic on the seat. So now it was loose and always shifted back. I went into the dealership to get a new one through warrenty. After a couple of days talking to Harley they were able to get me a new one. Harley's excuse was that I was a big guy, I weigh 225, I wouldn't say I'm a small guy but I'm diffently not the biggest!!! Has anyone else had this problem?

This is the first time I have heard of the seat breaking in that area but it don't suprise me, that is a really weak link on the 08-09 seats, HD really screwed the pooch on the SG Seats. And dude, you are far from being in the "BIG guy" rankings. I have worked on seats for guys weighing 300+ and a few 400 pounders, them are the "BIG" guys. At least HD replaced the seat like they should have.

I had mine off today, when I was doing some work. Hard to believe it broke like that. At least they replaced it.

Must have been something wrong with that seat when it left the factory. I've seen a SG pull the front wheel and not break anything. Of course the seat was made a little better, it was a 06' and he was heaver than 225.
