Took my 06 in yesterday due to the normal injector related problems. The shop forman at Granite Mountain said it wasn't covered under the recall because I had changed from the stock exhaust, installed a PC111, and changed the air filter.
Now I've got to switch all the stuff back to stock to get the injectors.
I'd say that's B.S. too since none of the add-ons are what is making the bike run lousy. They have a defective product and they know what the problem is.
Interesting.. but I had a surprisingly good experience with Las Vegas HD last week.
I stopped by for an oil change while on our trip to Laughlin... I was pretty joking with the guy at the service desk, he asked if the oil change was all I needed today.. I responded (sarcastically I thought) "that is all unless you want to update the injectors to the newer 25 degree " .. "Not a problem I was told, we can do that for you"!
This is after my local dealers (2 of them) both refused to even discuss it... hats off to LVHD
(and BTW - I have upgraded the exhaust as noted in the sig below.. that did not matter to them)
Had dealer change injectors prior to me doing a/c and exhaust upgrades. Added PIII and dyno. Dealer did change to new injectors prior to all changes. Runs great now.
That is total BS. Not 3 weeks ago I took my bike in. I have a SERT,SE air cleaner and SE slip on's. They didnt mention one thing about any of those changes and fixed the injectors no questions asked. Id take it to a higer level, as in service manager or GM.. Thats just a dealership not wanting to put in the time, It has nothing to do with your aftermarket add-ons.
