There are several threads on this topic. My bike which was built in 12/05 had the 8° injectors and I had cold start problems and the 25° CVO injectors fixed that problem. All big twins manufactured after the middle of Feb. 2006 now have the 25° CVO injectors installed as standard equipment. It is not a recall and the dealer is only supposed to change them if you have a problem as not every bike has a problem with the 8° injectors.
I bought my Ultra on Jan 31, 06, so I probably have the 8 degree injectors. My gas mileage is only 35-38 mpg depending on whether I have my wife onboard. I take it easy when just me, and I can only get 38. It now has about 1250 miles. Is this normal? Just wondering if anyone that has had the new injectors installed has noticed an increase in gas mileage. I don't have any noticable problem other than low gas mileage. A friend of mine with an 05 gets 45+.
Bought my 06 Road King three weeks ago. Even bought the extended warranty and alot of accessories. Bike has ran like crap from day one and the dealer not only refused to fix it but they treated me like I am an idiott, but thats okay. They will host The National Hog Ralley in June. They have estimated that 60,000 people will attend. Hope to see you guys there. I will be the one wearing the "I got mine at Gene Lummus" Tee shirt, but I think I'll change one of the words to screwed.

So far my top gas mileage has only been 35 mpg and I have 1075 miles on my bike so I hope it improves.
I for one would not be putting up with that kind of crap.

Call Harley-Davidson customer service at (414) 343-4056.....tell them you are having stalling problems and cold start issues and your dealer refuses to listen.
Just picked up my SG Friday after having the new injectors installed, ran great and had no problems from the dealer in replacing them, (no questions asked). Also had a new radio put in after the original quit working.
I guess that depends on the dealer cause I just mentioned the service bulletin and they jumped all over it and couldnt change them nasty 8 degree injectors fast enough. what a difference the 25 degree injectors made on the performance of my ultra. the service bulletin says nothing about stock pipes by the way, my '06 ultra has rinehart true duals, stage 1 breather with re-map and they didnt complain a bit.
