I am wondering if many of your are using this luggage rack? I saw it on display at my local HD dealer and though it looked really sharp. Thing is, not sure if I want to drop all the money on it with the light. Are any of you using this rack without the light? Retail is $179 for the rack where the premium rack is only $119. If you through in the light it adds $50 to the $179 price. Granted not many of us pay retail for these items but it's still a lot of change for just a rack.
I'm kind of leaning to the Air Wing Rack with No light but am unsure if it will look right with out the light?. Or just go with the Premium rack and be done with it!
Thanks for any thoughts or feedback you all may have.
that would suck! they did look like they were a "bit" smaller than the other one. yea, I want it to look cool but I want it to work too. I know, I ask a lot dont i?.
I've got one, with the brake light. I went back and forth looking for a decent rack. I decided on the Air Wing due to the looks...and put the brake light on it due to the fact that every little bit helps for safety. I really like the look of it on now, glad with my choice.
I have it with the red led also; wanted another brake lite that was at eye level with cagers. Mine works great and will support a reasonable sized bag.
I have the rack with the red light.
Hardest part of the install was drilling the holes...
Measured 5-6 times and still hesitated when it came to drilling.
The second hardest part was pulling the wires through the rack into the tour pack.
The electrical connections were a breeze, no splicing.
Ditto what "mastery" said with mine too. It takes a little nerve to drill holes in a brand new bike tour pak. Sure looks nice and I like the extra lights on the back. I just added the rear turn signal/running light module as well. Looks like a Christmas tree running down the road. :0)
