I keep reading about BB's, steel ***** and pennies.

My question is how in the world do you use them without the driver of the car seeing you? If they saw me throw something that broke their windshield I can see one of two things happen.

1) They call the police and report it along with my license number.
2) They run my a$$ over.

True Story:

A guy in our HOG chapter was rear ended on I-40 east bound last year near Winston-Salem, NC by a car with five young black males. He is cruising along at 70 MPH minding his own business and they actually run right into him at about the same speed and he is able to keep the bike up and pull off to the side of the road. There was damage to the rear fender and tail light, turn signals but the bike could be ridden. They did not stop and he got on his cell phone and called the police and reported it. The police pulled them over and they all five told that they NEVER hit anyone and that the guy was lying. Well he showed up a few miles up the road with the bike and two wittnesses and the marks on the front of the car matched the damage to the bike and the two wittnesses ID'd them and the driver was charged with hit and run. I think they should have put a bullet in the drivers head right on the spot and the other four would have never told another lie for the rest of their lives!

I like this idea. I bet he might think about being behind a bike for fear that it might "break down" LOL

Never thought of that, I foresee alot of "breakdowns" in my future.

Tailgaters are the people that never ride and never think of motorcycles, when they pull up on you they are not doing it to mess with you, that is just the way the would pull up if there were a car in front of them.

I just try to keep out of the way.

I have not had ONE single incident of a tailgater since I put on my new tail light from BrightAssLights.com. Expensive, maybe to some, but for me not having to worry about a**holes tailgating me anymore makes all my rides much more comfortable.

Agree that it's not personal (usually). Anymore, I just move over or slow down so they'll pass me. If you throw something at them, then that will give them reason to retaliate, which you will lose car vs. bike, everytime.

There's too many idiots out there to kick everyone's a$$. Be getting into fights everytime you get on the scoot.

That being said, if they're aggressive and intent on causing harm, then that's a whole different issue there ...

Hey!! marshmallows!! That's kinda funny!!

I also agree, we'll lose the fight against a cager vehicle to vehicle.
I was a bit stupider when I was young, (Or braver?) LOL I had a TRACTOR TRAILER tailgating me on an interstate where it goes down to one lane for construction. I tried repeatedly to wave him back, (we were going about 50 mph or so, and he was only a car length back or so) I gave him my brake lights a time or two, he still stayed there, finally I slowed down more,,, he honked his air horn, I waved him over to "Fight" he was more than willing, after we got onto the side, and he had his door open and one foot on the step, I WAS OUTA THERE! LOL, (Much easier for me to merge back than him,,,,I was on a Kaw Concours then, (Sport tourer,, pretty fast) He probably thought I was chicken,,,,, (But I had sense enough to know, he could have had a tire iron, gun ect.... and I had NOTHING to "Equalize") SO I think I was smarter,,, I was long ahead by the time he got back on the road.. I was waving as I pulled away! The inconvienence of him having to pull back out was satisfaction for me!
