What is the center to center distance between the dowels?

Gotta be about 4 and 3/4", thats the distance center to center on the tour pak hardware on my bike.

08 that is, don't know about other years

The hardest part was getting the proper dowel placement for mounting but even that was not too bad. It took me about 1 hour and $13.00 for all wood stock. The only thing that I would do different would be use aluminum dowels or one made of a stronger wood (oak).

It will get a coat of black paint and will be complete. Let me know what ya think.
