Default Tour pack rack I made

This is a tour pack rack that I made. It is made out of 3/4" wood stock screwed together, and 5/8" dowels for mounting. The hardest part was getting the proper dowel placement for mounting but even that was not too bad. It took me about 1 hour and $13.00 for all wood stock. The only thing that I would do different would be use aluminum dowels or one made of a stronger wood (oak).

It will get a coat of black paint and will be complete. Let me know what ya think.

That should work. I made one out of metal. It's nice to know it's stored safe and out of the way.

NIce rack...To fix any problems you may have with the dowels (Yes, they will waer out with the HD tour pack mounted over time) I used threaded rod, covered with clear hose...Works great..

I got to be honest, I was thinking what kind of rube would put wood dowels and crap on his tour pack>>> as a tour-pak rack...... duh, for hanging it up... now it not only makes sense but makes Cents.. American minds will win this war... Looks great!!
