Ok here is some pics of measurements for the dowels. You can use measurements if ya want but what I done was mount the side supports, set the tour pack on the board then raised the pack up about 1/8" using 2 paint stir sticks. You have to raise it up to allow the cam locks that lock it on to rotate otherwise they will hit the back mounting board and will not lock.

Then I used a scrap piece of dowel and spray painted the end. While it was still wet I set it into the quick detach mounting slots then pressed the "wet end" up against the side brackets. Do that 4 times and you have your spots to drill your dowel holes. You dont want it to fit really tight like it does on your bike otherwise it is to hard to get unlocked off of the wall.

Drill your holes and slide the dowells in, do a test fit then if everything works good glue into place.

This is by far not a scientific method more of a shade tree method but it works.

Oh yeah, 5/8" dowells work the best, anything bigger is to big for the slots anything smaller seemed not strong enough. I will probably replace the wooden dowells with aluminum ones for more strength.

Thanks man. I thought about it for awhile and just did it. There usually is a easier way to do something without spending a bunch of silly money.

Looks easy enough, would it latch easier if the dowels were closer to the center of the upright?

Thanks for sharing
