I'm getting my first bagger next week. 09 Streetglide. I'm curious what kind of exhaust systems everybody has on their bikes and what kind of gains have you gotten? I'm basically looking for an exhaust that offers good performance and great sound. Anybody have any ideas? thanks
I have the power duals behind the 124ci. They are a real nice set of headers, the 2-1-2 transition is a real pretty design and you can see that it is going to scavenge nicely. The look great and stand out from the crowd. I havent got any pics yet, flat out with work.
I have the basic slip ons and they are LOUD. They are baffle less and just a tube basically.
I have an 09 streetglide I bought last week.I put on V&H monster ovals. No head pipes just slip ons.Love the sound.Go to V&H web site and at the bottom of the page there is a link to cycle world test on them.
Got an '08 SG myself. And just bought a set of Rinehart true duals, Heavy Breather, and still making up my mind on a fuel management system. Rinehart claims up to 15% HP gains if tuned right. Doing the math means that will add about 10 HP to your factory set-up.
I had Rinehart's on my Fat Boy and loved them. Everybody's got their favorites, but for the most part it usually boils down to two brands, Rinehart's and Thunderheader.
I went with the V&H Power Duals. They are awesome and they make my bike look more high tech and nicer over the stock header pipes. They weren't really that expensive either where I got them from, so they were well worth it!
