For anyone interested in knowing, I took the stock pads off, replaced them with the Zendal Z Pads. Noise gone for the first few hundred miles, came back just a little bit, took air gun blew the brake dust out of them, and the brake have very little noise to them. I still have the stock rotors, and I have not filled the void under the rotors either.

Are you guys talking about the 'scuffing' sound the brakes make just while rolling or squealing when braking? That scuffing sound absolutely annoys the crap out of me and gets louder the longer you ride.

I had squealing but no scuffing (sh-sh-shooshing). I replaced the rotors with floating rotors yesterday and the squealing has completely gone. From what I hear, the floaters also eliminate the scuffing. Not the cheapest route but seems to work consistently for most of us.

ORIGINAL: Abnmarine

Then place a 7/16th drill bit in the axle hole and tighten the fork cap. Re-install the calipers and that is is.
I don't understand this part, would you please explain precisely where this drill bit goes, and why it goes there? I want to do the swap, but am confused with the drill bit step. I thank you very much.

The 7/16 drill bit goes in the hole on the right side axle. Why a drill bit, cause a special tool that was a 7/16 bar would cost a fortune. Now the why part, and this is a guess on my part; by snugging up the right fork to the "drill bit" you have established the amount of pressure that will be on the bearings. I didn't measure the spacers that are on the right and the left, don't know if they are the same size or not so I marked mine to make sure I put them back in the right place.
