When you say full lock, do you mean your elbows? I been debating adjusting my bars to straighten out my arms more. They get sore once in awhile.

I recently installed a set of Khrome Werks 300515 +2 Wide Sweeper bars on my 2008 Street Glide and ran the wire internally. Here a write-up on the process, along with these pics. They are a big improvement over the stock bars.

After having a chance to ride with my Klock Werks Ergo back bars I am very happy I went with them. I have them up just a bit. They block my fairing mirrors (for sale- chrome PM) They do come back. I haven't had any pain in my shoulders. I think the best part is they put your wrists in a natural position. It has made riding more enjoyable and I am more confident in my turns.

Guess it seems that mine are not mentioned. I installed Wild 1's 575's. I absolutely love the bars and especially since the wires are ran inside the bars. Just my 2cents and would install them again, my back pain is gone.

You can use any of the bars mentioned depending how much money you want to spend. I'm obviously prejudiced toward the Wild One 575. The hole answer to original question is there are alot of bars you can use but you can't raise the bars, move them back toward you and keep the functionality of the fairing mounted mirrors. That part of your request seemed to get lost early in this thread.

Another vote here for the 575's. I had them on my Ultra and just ordered a set for my SG.

Well I started the install Sunday night, decent amount of work. I wasnt paying attention and broke off the new clutch cable in the case when I was installing it. So hopefully theyve got one in stock locally so I can take off this weekend as planned. One thing is Im not sure where to angle the bars, I have them almost as far up and forward without touching the fairing right now. It wont be the easier adjustment after all is put back together either. Where do you guys have yours angled?

I was lucky. The service manager at my dealer warned me about overtightening the clutch cable. Doesn't take much torque to seat and seal the o-ring.

I had these on my 08 UC and loved them. I will be picking up my 09 UC today and that was part of the deal, i had the dealer install these bars and clutch cable for me. I am 6' 1" and i love them. They rise about 2" and sweep back about 2".

If you are going to do this your self they are somewhat of a challenge to put on with the replacement of the clutch cable but are WELL worth the money. I say a challenge because when i installed mine they did not offer the bars for the new 08. I bought 07 bars and cut them to fit in the TBW sensor. I also tried to do this wihtout removing the header pipes, go ahenad and take the mufflers and header pipes off. Job will go alot easier. It took me and my neighbor 6 hours and 18 beer to complete this project.

No need to change the TBW sensor, just clip one tywrap and pull wire forward. Fits perfectly.

Where mine ended up the brake lever housing is about 1" below the top of the speaker and i can put my fist in between the brake lever housing and the fairing.

Good luck...
