Muffler,etc install question.
Ok,here goes, I'll try and explain as best I can. I have ordered my Python Predator mufflers, PCV and big sucker air filter for my 2009 Roadking Classic as well as the V&H O2 sensor bungs so that I can get rid of the O2 sensors for a tidy install.
What I want to know is what is that valve at the back of the headpipe on the right hand side? If I replace the headpipes with a set of V&H Dresser Duels do they come with this valve installed, If not what do you do with the wire that controls it?
Changing the pipes on this bike is a lot more complicated than my previous (carb) bikes!
Sorry if the questions are a little basic but this FI is all new to me.

Chris.

chris, we here in the us don't have those systems that you do. you have both the active air intake, and the active exhaust.
someone with an hdi bike could probably give you more info but i'm figuring that once you change out your exhaust and intake, you're gonna have to try and hid that wiring the best you can, zip tie, etc... we have the wiring plug for the active intake that is fastened to the back of our stock intake, when switching to the se i had to 'stuff' it between the cylinders.
good luck.

Thanks for the reply Skratch.
Unfortunately with all the doo-dahs involved with the FI system (and my limited mechanical skills) it looks like I will have to take the parts to a dealer to have them installed (£320 approx, OUCH!) I suppose if they install them then I should not have any issues with my warranty.
I must admit I am not a fan of zip tying spare wires up, I would rather have them removed if they are not needed.
Cheers,
