Thundermax is around $1000 and replaces the ECU, no messy clusters of wiring going everywhere. I think I will be waiting for the 09 thundermax. Just my two cents.
$250 + $350 is $600 (vs. $1000 for Tmax).....not sure how you came up with $850 for PCV with the Autotune module. After considering all options, I went with the PCV (from Jamie) with the intentions of adding the Autotune module later this year. I figure since I will always be tinkering (adding new goodies) having the Autotune will pay for itself in a relatively short period. BTW....the PCV and Autotune does NOT just work on '09 bikes.

TTS tuner is the only tuner to use. Do a search.

That is the hard part............finding a tuner that has a clue.

I'm lucky to have Bean & George at Big Boyz Cycles only 1 hour away........master tuners.

Some of you guys here must have really great jobs. To spend 600-700 bucks then scrap that and get something even more expensive just baffles me. I will make the upgrade work with what I have now. Maybe one day I can compete with you guys.

I just installed a set of Woods TW6-6 cams in my '09 Street Glide. Thx to Steve's help I decided to go with the Auto Tune. I already had Jamie's PC-V before the cams. I just downloaded a base map from Jamie and I'll be firing up the bike for the first time tomorrow. Here is a pix of the install, I took my time and made it real clean. thx.................Rich

If your wondering how I installed those two AT modules at that location (due to the indentation in the frame) I took a piece of 3/16th thick hard neopreme and set it in a large pile of silicone and then velco'd the modules in place........Rich

I went with the HQ Pro Tuner. I'm very very happy with it!!! Easy to install, took me about 30 minutes to do it right.

Some really thoughtful responses here. Thank you all. I think the main concern I have is that even the recommended local tuners do not mess with the spark timing, just A/F ratio. Given that fact, I guess I might as well go with Autotune and see what happens. I might be leaving something on the table, but without a better tuner in the vicinity, what's a guy to do?
