It will be ok..just let the dealer get all the bugs fixed then we wont be able to wipe the smile off your face......I had 145,000 on a 76 FX and loved every min of it, now my current bike got wrecked and it has taken me 2 years to get it back together and it only has 18000 miles on it, so i will have to work the bugs out of it again the ride it until it needs some attention....no big deal.....my f-350 was in the shop more than i drove it during the first year...now it runs great and no problems....and i am sneaking up on 90000.

I'd feel the same as you no matter what new bike or vehicle I bought and had these problems. Have had my own problems with Harley that I never had with Honda but I went into buying a Harley expecting it, so I wasn't surprised and was ready for it.

Considering there are thousands of parts of different materials and functions, with tolerances capable of stacking up good or bad on any given build - it's a wonder a motorcycle ever really works at all! Harley - as well as most of today's big ticket manufacturers, are head and shoulders ahead of those of just a decade ago.
That being said - the "chances" of more parts failing then what you've already dealt with, are getting slimmer.
And just because you might have a bad manufacturing build - it doesn't necessarily mean you have bad supplier parts. Or vise-versa!
My thoughts are - get this latest problem fixed and see what happens.
If you end up with the "normal" and quite capable bike - great!
If something else happens - time to sell, trade, or worse - litigate!
Good luck!

Owned six harleys, never had a problem with any of them that I didn't cause myself.

That being said, use the Lemon Law in your state for leverage with HD. Stress safety.

You didn't tell us, I think, year and model of your bike.

sorry you're having troubles, but i gotta say that you should be in neutral to start yur bike anyway, (plus, with the 07 and up models, there is a neutral safety switch. if you are not in neutral or have the clutch pulled in, bike will not start). even if you have the clutch pulled in, with the bike in gear there is still some residual grip in the clutch plates and there is extra wear and tear on the starter, flywheel, etc.
