Does anyone have video or a sound clip of Monster Ovals on a stock, or stage 1 96" touring bike? I really like the look of them but at $600 or $700 these have to sound killer to make it worth 2x the price of the Jackpot dyno tuned's. I want a deep, V8-ish sound to my bike but not loud (except when the throttle is cracked open).
Go to V/H website. They have a sound clip. If you want a deep rumble then look no more. Belly up to the bar and order those Monster Ovals. Look at Eastern Performance they have the best prices around, no tax, no shipping.
Went out to lunch with a friend the other day. There was a Street Glide sitting outside the restaurant with MO's on it. I found the guy inside and asked him to give me a holler when he left because I had never heard them before. We wound up leaving about the same time and I got to hear them and, needless to say, I wasn't that impressed. Now I know it's difficult to judge a product while the bike is just sitting in a parking lot and the guy throws a few rev's, but for the money their asking for them I expecting more. And for less then 1/2 the cost, I honestly think my Jackpots sound better. They DO look good, I was just disappointed in the sound. Just my 2 cents.
thats the point...they are quiter than alot of pipes...but they are still neighborhood friendly without sounding like a sewing machine...i guess in hot rod terms its like comparing Glass packs (jackpots, Reinharts etc etc to flow masters (MO's) deep rumble without overbearing...
yeah at idle or just a few twists dont quite do it justice...what i like is the sound at speeds and when you twist the throttle hard it does get alot louder...it will keep the PO off your back and your neighbors wont hate you but its louder than Screaming eagles, but not as loud as jackpots or some of the other slip ons....but to me has a great sound...

They sounded great on the 2009 StreetGlide test bike they had at the Laughlin river run.
They were very bass sounding and would not interfere with the stereo.
