Default HD Adjustable Backrest- need HELP

So its pretty much a given that the directions that come with the kit are worthless, so Im pretty much trying to install without them. Can someone send me, or post a picture of where the bracket with the handle is mounted and where the cable runs? I must be as dumb as I look because I cannot figure out where to mount the damn thing!

Do a search for rider adjustable back rest. I believe there is another thread that was started recently that covered the same question you're asking.

While you are at it, put a couple of washers under the front bracket where it bolts down. It will help tilt it back some. It's been discussed here over the years. A couple wil do the trick.

I just put my bracket in a vice and bent the front "tab" a tad to give me the same affect as adding the washers...

Thanks for the pic Plow64!

I'll try it out and keep the washer mod in mind if I need some more angle on the backrest.
