Default Fairing crooked

My fairing is out of alignment to the front wheel (or the wheel's out compared to the fairing), I've read the manual cover to cover and can't find any adjustment procedure.

The bike's an 08 Ultra. Any ideas how to straighten it?

Common thing, many are that way. I had two fairing bikes and both was that way. You can usually remove the outer fairing and this will let you get to the brackets for a little inside adjustment. You can also loosen the the bolts that holds the light assemble as it also serves to mount the fairing brackets at their lower location, this will give you a little adjustment too.

Thanks for the advice dontdropit, looks good by eye now. I'll tweak it after I ride tomorrow if it needs more adjustment.

Default Crooked

My friends and I often swap bikes just for the hell of it, and I have noticed this on just about every bike I ride.

I can't believe HD doesn't pay more attention to lining everything up. I complained to my dealer repeatly about it and they eventually fixed it. I'm not saying the wheels were out of alignment, but on a 20,000+ motorcycle the front end should visually line up to the forks whening running down the road.

Frankly, its a disgrace.Report it to HD, get them to fix it.

Dealer went above and beyond to make it right, so I have retracted my last post.

My fairing seems to be just off center to the right. Subscribed

Mine has been like that since new. I'm over it at this point. It's the fairing, not the fork. The bike tracks like it's on rails...Don't look at it.

Not trying to make anyone paranoid but.....

Stand in front of a mirror and take a good close look at your head, face, and ears.

Very few people are symmetrically perfect.

I learned several years aogwhen my Ultra tunred over in my enclosed trailer just how hard it is to get the batwing fairing perfectly aligned.
My right hand inner fairing was slightly bent.
I tried several times to re-bend or re-shape te darned thing but no matter what I did, nothing worked.
I finally relented and bought (the dealer actually had one, a RH in stock) a new RH innner fairing bracket and it aligned the fairing perfectly, or at least close enough for me.
