I know this isn't the question you asked, but if you get tired of seafood, a great place is the Boar's Head. Their feta stuffed filet mignon with yorkshire pudding is to die for...
Captain Anderson's and Pompano's are good. The Treasure Ship is touristy and hokey, but the early bird specials are good. Way out in the middle of nowhere is "Boondocks" and it is good, but like I said, it's out in the middle of nowhere along the river.
If you want to take a ride over to Appalachicola, "That Place on 98" and "Papa Joes" are great.
If you cruise through Mobile, AL, a stop at Wintzells is a must.
It was several years ago when I was there but there was an old pirate ship that served really good sea food. I am sure by now that are better places....
take I-10 through pensacola. When you get towards the beaches and the big bridge there are PLENTY of great seafood places around there. Macguires Irish pub was my personal favorite. They have an AWESOME Lobster tail.

That would be the Treasure Ship I mentioned. If you're kids are older, you almost feel like you have to apologize for eating there, but the food's reasonable. They have drinks and a Jimmy Buffet type guy on the top deck for happy hour.
