Default Elite III question

Hey guys I just bought a E III from Motorcycle super store and after I had it mounted I saw on the sidewall the word belted, I sure hope they did not send me a radial tire. Do any of you guys that have an E III have that on the side of your tire. I don't want to run it till I find out. Please let me know asap.

Yours are not the radial version. I think that your fine. Great tires. Had the Radials on my last bike and they were super tires, but I have heard a lot of great things about the E3 belted also.

surely it's a bias ply tire, belted of course. if it were a radial it'd be numbered something like mu90R16. if it's not radial then it'd be mu90-16. if the R isn't in the naming of the tire on the sidewall, then i'm assuming that it's not a radial. hope this helps, and as far as i know, this should be good information. if you look in the drag specialties catalog, or dennis kirk, etc, you may find that the radials indeed do include the R in the lettering on the sidewall.

Thanks guys I think I am alright . Just made me wonder. I have been running the Metz and was very unhappy with the mileage . Last one went a little over 3000 and thats it. If the EIII does what they say it will be what I run from now on.

Metz makes good tires, as long as they're not the ones made in Brazil.
