+1 on the channel locks, never had one come loose doing that.
Been tightening those tops forever. Overtightened and broke 1 once. Yesterday went to the auto parts store and bought solid top AC Delco platinum rated for TC-88. Should be an improvement.

for me, i just use the hd gold plugs. nothing fancy like three ground prongs, etc. the simpler the better in my opinion. and the harley gold aren't expensive but perform very reliably, or have for me anyway. and they don't have that pita screw on end that can tend to unscrew. when i can simplify something, then it has less chance of pissin me off.
Thanks for the input 'emwolb'... When I went to install the AC Delco platinum plugs they were the wrong size . Kinda' surprised me because the local chain of indy auto parts store that I bought the plugs from is usually top notch. Keeping it simple, I'm gonna try the HD gold plugs.
