do you get an error message? do you hear the ding noise like you disconnected a device? Are the songs loaded on the actual hard drive or an external hard drive?
We are new at it and must be doing something wrong. We bought the songs and clicked auto fill after the ipod is hooked up and on it will load a few songs then send an error message ( conection failed ) or the ipod has to be restored. Do you load them on the hard drive then to the ipod if so how? I think we are tring to load them from Itunes. Sorry to be so dumb.
Open itunes and your look to open Library then music. See if your songs are there. If not check in your recently purchased. Once you find the songs, then plug in your ipod and select them all and drag/drop them to the ipod. Once you do it once, you will see how easy it is. I NEVER ride without mine on.
If you still need help send me a pm and i will reply with my phone #.
I hate to be so lame but neither my wife or I can see how to drag it to an Ipod icon. Will that work on windows xp? We have the itunes download. *%#@&* computers anyway
Open your iTunes program then open the folder the music is saved in being able to view both of these programs after they are open. Drag the music you want on your ipod from your music folder and drop it where it says playlist in your iTunes program. The music should register and you should see the music under playlist. Hook in you ipod via usb port and the music should automatically download to your ipod. Good luck
I can step you through how to load if you'd like. You mentioned Win XP, but can't tell from your post whether you are using the Apple iTunes software? If not, it is free from www.apple.com. You MUST use iTunes in order to load songs to your Apple iPod (Shuffle, Nano, etc).
Send me a private message and I'll be glad to step you through it.
