Does anyone no if i can turn the rear axle around on a 07 street glide so the nut is on the left side. we used to do this back in the old days so the exhaust would not have to be removed when pulling the axle. I want to do this to my FLHX it just makes sense to me that when i torque the nut if the axle moves a little it will tighten the belt not loosen it. I have checked the belt and torqed the axle to spec (105 ft lbs)a few times since replacing the tire and the axle keeps moving forward loosening the belt any suggestions?
