I already have the Fuel Moto Power Package comprising the Jackpot mufflers, SE A/C and PCV. I have been very pleased with this set-up from the day I installed it.
Yesterday, I installed the Auto Tune modules to complete the system. I was not expecting anything too dramatic for an improvement, as the pre-loaded map is pretty close. However, I felt an immediate difference in smoothness and throttle response. The engine pulls more smoothly through the revs and just generally seems happier and punchier. Heck, it even sounds better.
One oddity that I have not seen mentioned elsewhere is the fact that the tach will not read above 5120rpm. I thought I was having a problem, but Jamie at Fuel Moto was quick to help allay my fears. Apparently, the engine is revving above 512o rpm, but the tach is controlled by the stock ECU. So, If you have this system, be aware that even with 'rev-extend' enabled, the tachometer will go no higher than 5120 rpm, even though the engine will.
All in all, I am delighted with this system, the service and support I have received from Fuel Moto.
Pretty much the same as my experience. I really like the AT and it seems like the longer I ride with it the better it gets. I have saved the trims several times and my stored map seems to be getting very close. Pretty soon I plan to add a switch so I can switch AT on and off. That way I can store my base map and then set AT up to run with leaner AFRs for a little better fuel mileage. WHen I run in hotter weather, I can then switch AT off and be running on the richer stored base map.
Sounds great. Was it just plug and play or did you have to input any settings?
Definitely plug and play, at least mine was, when bought from Fuel Moto. I took the time to route everything nicely. Initially I thought I would have to input AFR targets for the Auto Tune, but they were already there. This is a really powerful and fantastic system.
