This may be a silly question, but here it goes. If I am only going to change the oil in the primary and not adjust the clutch, is there any reason to remove the derby cover and change that gasket?
Just dump the oil in through the inspection cover. You won't need to replace the gasket unless it's damaged. Still using my original one and still in good shape.
Pouring oil through the derby hole is a bitch. Never do that. Always through the inspection cover if you have one. FYI, my gasket is not a o-ring but rather some kind of plastic disk thingie.
