I had an 07' Ultra, no whine. An 08' RG, no whine. On my 09' SERG I hear the whine all the time. Mostly in 1st and fifth. I know why so I don't let it bother me much. I wonder why I didn't hear it in my other bikes and now this one? T.
I've never understood why people call it a "whine". Mine sounds more like a HUGE bird chirping than a whine. My bike is pretty loud and I can still hear it way over my exhaust. Switching to synthetic didn't change anything and it's got louder over the last 20k miles. It doesn't really bother me, but it is very loud. I don't need a sound to tell me what gear I'm in, so it does get anoying at times. I'm not going to spend the bucks on the Baker "fix" just to get rid of it though....
Because a "Chirp" is a short quick sound. While a "whine" is a long drawn out high pitched note
Chirp = eep
Whine = eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
