Smile FYI: Oil sending unit

Just received my new oil temp gauge today after much delay. The gauge assembly is a new part # from last year and has not been in the system until recently. As I waited for it to arrive, I often wondered what is so "new" about it. Upon opening the package I notice there was a reducer bushing in with the parts......uuuhm........I guess Harley has now decided (as most have already done)to install the sending unit in the pan. Also comes with a nice protected sending unit harness to run up to the gauge. Anyhow, to some this may be old news but thought I would share with others.

Ride safe

Funny...I learned that trick right here on HDforums! Much easier to install and probably less to break and maintain.

Guess HD reads HDforums? Sheett...you know they do!

The new rendition is an "A" at the end of the pn# so the black face gauge would be 75265-04A. The sending unit itself is still 72357-04, but the kit now includes the 3/8 NPT external thread-1/8 NPT internal thread adapter

OK, I got the part# for the black face gauges, do we know if they are including these adapters in with the CVO/SE spun aluminum face gauges?? I am adding the oil temp gauge at my 1000 mile service next week and I want them to have the right kit so it goes in the pan.
Thanks for any help
