The stealership put mine on and there was a pretty big gap. I was washing it one night and decided to see if I could shrink that gap. It closed right up and I didnâ€™t have to lean on the screw that much. So maybe after 800 miles of vibration and road bumps they find their way a little and just need to be retightened.

Mine rattled so bad i took the SOB off the first 2 days and scraped it!

I don't have any closes up pictures but after careful alignment I got my headlamp ring installed with little gap. I think the secret is to use a gentle touch which I know is difficult as it shouldn't be so hard to put on. IMO if you rotate and slide the ring up and down while tightening the lower bolt it works much better.
