Went out this am to start the bike, fired right up then the orange engine light came on and had no throttle. Shut it down and tried again, same outcome after a few choice words, called the dealer. The owner of the dealership called and walked me through the steps to get the code. Was throwing two different codes. had me reset the codes and try starting the bike. It fired right up the once again after giving it some throttle same thing. Did this three times then the guy said the truck would be out to pick up the bike. 10 minutes later the dealership called and asked if I had installed the inner fairing yet I said I have it but no i have not installed, Oh ok thought maybe you pinched a wire when you put on the fairing. well 2 hours later the guy with the trailer shows up. He got lost 25 minutes ride right off the highway, he pasted by my house twice. Anyway we loaded the bike and off he headed to York, at 530 this evening the dealership called and said they fixed the problem. The ECM connection was loose, this is the second time in a week that the dealer has looked at the codes problems had none of these until the 1000 miles service last week. So now the bikes finished and I am at work till 500pm tomarrow and the dealer closes at 300pm their closed on sun and mon so cant get the bike till tue morning if I can find a ride to get it. I am so pissed at the incompantance of someone not putting it back together after the service to begin with. Sorry I am just venting.
+3 Not just is it under warranty, but their tech screwed it up before a holiday weekend - *they* can deliver it right back where they got it. No way I'd be waiting 4 days to get it due to their incompetence.
Tomorrow when the dealership opens I plan on calling and talking to the owner explaining everything and see what happens. Hopefully he will agree that the should deliver the bike back into my driveway. Otherwise the said about leaving it outside till I can get there to pick it up, not crazy about leaving it sit outside their dealership even though it would be locked.
They should definately deliver the bike, they picked it up. If they wont, I would have them leave it for me to get. Then I wouldn't do any more business with them if I could help it. Maybe they can leave it in an out of sight spot.
