i have -50 in the 0 tp column now but havent tested yet due to rain but hope fully test today, Jamie told me to try -15 ten lower settings down to -50 if that doesnt work try +settings.
i am soon thinking get rid of the PCV and go back to my PCIII. which i had no issues, just wanted to add autotune later.
The PCV works just like the PCIII in regard to fuel metering, except the PCV has a 15% column, so if you have a given value for a given cell in the PCIII it should also work with the PCV. Are the 0% values the same as you had with the PCIII? I would definitely keep the PCV and keep working on the decel-pop issue until solved, as it is a much better unit, IMO, especially for features and expansion to AT.
A conversation with FuelMoto lead me to believe there is no TP to set on the 08 due to the TBW.
You can set 0% but don't hit the Reset button in the software. TP is set by altering the voltage numbers in the Set Throttle Position window. Change the left voltage until the main window shows 0% TP with no throttle input. I haven't done it before on a TBW bike so double-check the proper procedure before doing it!
The muffler to pipe is sealed with copper anti-sieze on both bikes. If I put any more sealer in there it would be ozzing out. I've even replaced the header gaskets with new ones. Every thing is torqued to spec. I've even smoke tested it at the mufflers and head connections.
Obviously, then, you aren't leaking at the muffler or head junctures.
Rambler, thats why they say "if it aint broke don't fix it!" Thats also whats great about the pcv and autotune. Doesn't matter if it ain't broke, You can still fix it.
Well, AT won't likely fix the decel-pop issues, as DynoJet advises us not to use any Target AFR's in the 0% column. When you zero these values it uses the base map for those cells, so it's working like a PCV alone in those locations. Now, if someone comes back and says adding AT fixed their popping problem I'll really be confused.
You can set 0% but don't hit the Reset button in the software.
iclick, you are exactly right. "Oh, that I had read your post before yesterday!" I've got an 09 Ultra and that last statement in the PC-V instructions about "don't do this if you have TBW" didn't click in my brain till it was too late.
I sent Jamie an email Sunday evening expecting an answer on Tuesday. Amazingly, he answered within 3 minutes at 8PM on a Sunday night. I've never experienced customer service like that anywhere!

Jamie never sleeps and like the Benevolent Spirit watches over us at all times. Just so I'll know, what voltage values did he tell you to change to? I need to write that down.
In future software versions I think they should prompt you after hitting the Reset button with a warning not to go forward on TBW bikes. Just an "Are you sure you want to reset...." and explaining why would be sufficient to stop most of these mistakes. If the PCV software knew if it is attached to a TBW bike it could make the decision for you.
my 08 sg pops a little on deceleration but not enough to annoy me, the canned map from fuelmoto is pretty close to ideal for my type of riding. great information in here, thanks guys.
