I spoke with Keith today and in about 45 seconds he had educated me on how to reset the PC-V throttle percentage values for an 09 TBW Ultra.

In the throttle percentage window the maximum voltage setting should be 4.3. This is he default setting.

In order to set a zero throttle percentage: With the engine idling at operating temperature, read the value in the center "current" window and type that value into the minimum voltage (left) window.

Once you have manually entered the settings the way you want them, you click the OK button. Done!

Lass, thanks for the update, which I've written down for future reference. Did Keith say anything about the 100% voltage?

Thanks everyone for the replys on the PCV but nothing helped the backfires, I talked to jamie yesterday and he told me to send him the map from my PCIII and he would convert it to a PCV map.
Well i got the new map and i still have the same result, lots of backfires, i even got pulled over by the police and checked for discharging a firearm within city limits.
I am thinking that i have a bad PCV because i reinstalled the PCIII and the bike is running fine.

We install a huge amount of PC-V's here everyday with absolutely no issues. If you are now running the same map configuration in both the PC III and PC-V results should be exactly the same. Give me a call and have your PC-V hooked up to the USB software as I would like to go thru all of the configuration settings with you, check the throttle position values, check the firmware, and most importantly make sure something did not get enabled or turned on.

I think you're right and before asking for a replacement I would first check all your configuration settings (Accel pump, etc.). When the PCIII was installed my SG would backfire rarely, like once every few months, on a start that didn't complete. IOW, hit the starter release the switch before it started, rarely with a backfire. This has not happened yet with the PCV, however, and even with the PCIII it would never do it while the bike was running. You're situation definitely isn't normal.

Wow, your FW must've been corrupt or something. I never had this problem even with the first-generation FW for the PCV.
