Loose Baffle?
I am having trouble with this one. Since I put on my new slip-ons I've had this loud metallic knocking sound coming from around the right muffler at idle and low RPM's. If I put some pressure on the muffler the rattle stops. I am sure the sound is not coming from the luggage rail and the rubber mount is brand new - I replaced it just to see if that was the problem.
Can baffles be the source of this kind of sound? If a baffle is loose does anyone know if that might contribute to decel pop? I've checked for leaks and there are none. Thanks!

Yes, baffles can come loose and make a sound you describe. You didn't mention what slip-on you installed? And considering there new, you will want to check with the manufacturer also. I would take care of the baffle problem before tackling the decel popping problem.
