Default Cut the baffle down?

I have the Python 3 slip-ons. Was wondering if anyone has tried to cut the baffles in half or? Don't want to run with no baffle, but would like a little more sound. Although they do sound pretty good as is.

I have a 92 with drag pipes and run a half baffle in each pipe. I've been running it that way since 1992.

I had some SE Slip Ons. I never cut them in half but I did drill the holes out and make them bigger. It seems like it was louder. Then later on I noticed some back pressure rings in the J and P book. So, I went on to chop my baffles up. I totally regretted it. I tried to buy some new baffles for them but never could find any. That was three years ago. Just recently I purchased new exhaust. If they sound good, I'd let them be. Guys get used to the sound of their bike and they get anxious. I know I always did. When I would get tired of mine, I would have someone ride it so I could listen to it. Then I would appreciate it a little more. That's just me though. I've always thought Pythons sounded great.

That's when you can really appreciate them. Follow it in a vehicle. Completely different sound.

Screamin Eagles made loads of noise on load but purr (or the Harley fump-fump (or potata-potata-potata)) at the lights.

What I really like is the name of the thread,
Cut the Baffle Down sounds like an old Queen song,
all sing along now to tie your mother,

Cut the baffle down, cut the baffle down
Get that little baffle out and give me all of your sound, yea

Cut the baffle down, cut the baffle down, give me all your sound tonight!
Ooo baby, rock it

They may sound great, or it could make them sound like crap. It will really depend on how that particular muffler reacts to baffle changes. Have you considered using something like a big city thunder baffle instead of chopping or drilling yours? If you do decide to chop yours, I would make sure replacements aren't too expensive first just in case you don't like the outcome. Just something to think about.
