Ok here`s what I done. Last Night (Ultra Classic) I was doing a burnout & then again today. Now when I Shift into any gear its like the clutch or what ever ( tranny) is slipping. I can take off really slow and it will go but I have to baby it to move. If I give it medium gas its like the tranny is slipping, Also when I slow down and press the clutch in I can feel the tranny grab only when It (Clucth) has been fully released. Now I think the problem is the (CLUTCH) I`m going to try to tighten up the clutch tomorrow, if this does not fix my problem how do you tell if the clutch has been fried. Am I headed in the right direction. Thanks for your help. Mike
What year & model? Just curious , because my '07 has had issues twice .... not doing burnouts . But once the nut backed off , next time the replacement clutch was installed too tight..... BOTH times got screwed on the warranty.
Is what I figured ! Still even though they never thought the clutches were abused , buy new! Even when the 2nd dealer did one 1500 miles later and said other dealer had it too tight , bottom line NEVER use or spend $$$$ at Gulfcoast HD in FL or Frieze in O'Fallon,IL. As for me .... never again will I buy a new one , half the justification was to have a vehicle under warranty . They seldom honor it so F*CK THE FACTORY and buy either well used ( both s&s and ultima have fine replacement motors) or buy after market frame & drivetrain.
As far as your clutch, I would adjust it properly, check to make sure all the lock nuts are tight and then give it a go. If its still slipping, I think it would be fried. How many miles ya got on this one?? Does the primary fluid smell burnt?? If it does, ya mighta smoked it.

OK thanks for the thoughts. Its an 05 model with 38,000 gentle miles, I`m going to inspect the clutch and the primary oil and if alll looks good then I will try to adjust and see what happens.
