I always at least slow down and give them the thumbs up/thumbs down hand signal real quickly. I've always gotten waved on by but, you gotta check!

I always slow down and check before continuing.
I look for hand signals and the helmet on the ground (placed upright) always gets me to stop. Sign of distress that a lot of riders don't know about..

On Saturday there was a guy pulled over, I stopped to see if he needed anything. He was just stopping to light his smoke.

It only took a second then I was back on my way. I've had people stop for me when I stopped cause someone was calling my phone non-stop.

I had a tire go down a few years back, bikes and trucks passed me by like nothing ( interstate )...a lady with a car full of balloons stops and helps out...go figure...nice lady, let me use her phone...the "so called" bikers didn't even wave ....
I always a least slow down and try and get a thumbs up or down...
oh well, the times they are a changing....

Be safe all

I have turned around numerous times. The last time, was two guys in the median turn-around. Both guys were off their bikes...so I turn around and ask if everything was OK? YUP.....'we're just taking a break." (How about riding to a rest stop/dunkin donut/etc?).
Another time I stopped, and the guy said he was waiting for a phone call.
If you need/want help.....how about ASKING for it? If you on the side of the road? How about standing next to your bike with your arms out to you side, in that pose that says "What's up?".
I stopped once and was able to give the guy a ride home to get his trailer. I followed him back and helped him load his bike (flat tire). If I had not seen his tire flat.....I would have passed him on by. Most of us are not mind readers. You need help? Ask.

Chuck

I try to stop. If more than one bike stopped I might not. I agree with everyone else, karma, it could be you.

I always stop for bikes. On way to and from sturgis my buddy and I stopped for EVERY bike on side of rode (and 1 in accident) only had to fix one others had help or were waiting ect. used first aid as we saw acc a mile in front of us and were 3rd on scene. We rode in a pocket of sunshine that no one believed on way home it was rain and thunder all around us but dry rodes we rode on!!!! We figuered we payed it forward. ohhh we got a chuckel as there were wayyyy more trucks and campers pulling trailers of bikes broke down than bikes!!!!!

Not only do I stop for EVERY bike I see pulled over, just to check, but since I drive a pick up I stop for people walking on the highway if I am in my truck. I don't mind giving them a ride,if they don't riding in the back.. Since I carry my pistol with me all the time,I just pull over, roll the window down about hafl way,and say if you don't mind the back,I'll take you as far as I can. It's the right thing to do.

It is today’s society... I can remember when I was younger you didn't have to be concerned about being robbed when you stop to help someone...This was going on in NY when I was stationed there..I will still stop to help but some people are afraid to now days.
