Thinking about adding this rack. Your opinion please.
I ask for some opinions on this idea of mine.
I recently added the HD rear tail lights to my 2005 RKC. The light rack seems to have an "unfinished" look to it, with two holes along the top of the light bar for attaching a tourpak. Since I don't have a tourpak, and don't have the need for one, I came across this rack that seems to be a perfect fit.
Looking at my bike, do you think adding this rack would be a bit much? My wife thinks I'm going too far with the "bling"
BTW...I already have the rear backrest pictured below.
Here's the item from HD:
Here's the back of my bike (the little black thing is the satellite antenna. I can relocate that)

Ain't no such thing as too much bling! But, I'm with your wife on this one. I think IMHO that it takes away from the nice curve the back fender. I wanna solo seat to show off the back fender for mine.
Previously owned a '06 Road King where my dealer/owner and personal friend of mine had advised me to purchase this item P/N 53743-97. I was pleased with this rack cuz it could hold up large upright HD or T-Bag luggage. Plus what's more...The looks/size of the rack is more proportional on the back of the bike.
