I hate laws as much as the next guy, but what really gets me is when I see crap like this, people that feel they are above the law. When you do wrong, you should pay, just like everybody else. There's nothing worse, in my eyes, than a cop or anyone within their "inner circle" that "get's away with it". Good part is that everybody pays sooner or later. Check out Drew Peterson from Bolingbrook, Illinois.
One more thing, riding without a plate isn't being cool or supportive of your dealer. It's being ignorant and disrespectful to every tax paying citizen out there.
You could always put the license plate on so you don't get pulled over and then get a couple stickers made up for your bike like the plate you're running now...then you'd be legal and supportive except for the tunes...
Either way no big deal Id just get it written off at work by another officer. Officers always give me compliments on the bike when they see it at the shop. Not one has said anything about the dealer plate. They all think its new.
If your agency has any scruples, I envision a written reprimand at the very least in the near future.
You don't post this crap on a public forum dumba$$
