All metric measurements but hope it helps. If I'm just cruisin', a mix of around and highway klms (100klm/hr) will see the fuel light usually come on at 270klms. If I'm REAL careful this can be 280. If I feel like some fun that can be as low as 230klms. That is from an 18 litre tank. Bike specs in signature.
I have got between 390 - 450 kms on each fill. Mix of highway and city riding. Also, I fill it as much as she will take but I have never put more than 19.5 liters in. According to the manual, a complete fill would be 22.9 liters, so I could probably hit 500 km on a good tank.
Haven't figured how far I can go on a tank before walking comes
into play.........I'm consistently getting 46 plus mpg, and fill-ups
are usually 5 to 5 1/2 gallons.
My 'miles remaining' gauge is damn accurate so far........
On a stock '08 Ultra I get about 225-230 miles per tank riding B roads (about the equivalent US Highways, or state Highways). Speed limites are normally 70 km/h to 100 km/h (45-60 mph). As soon as I take it out onto the autobahn (similar to interstates and contrary to popular belief, many DO have speed limits of 130 km/h (about 80mph))the mileage drops drastically. As soon as I get it up over 75 mph, I can watch the mileage drop. I normally have my odometer set on the remaining mileage just to keep an eye on it. After a day of riding yesterday, mostly autobahn, I traveled about 110 miles when I filled up the miles remaining to empty read 55 miles. Assuming the mileage to empty was accurate, that would have been about 165 miles on a six gallon tank.
I average about 185 miles per 5.5 gallons of fuel. Thats a low 33/34 mpg for city/hwy riding. I don't get crazy with throttle either. Straight highway picks up to about 38mpg. I'm waiting to get a professional dyno tune SOON for my SERT set up bike. My goal is at least 41+ mpg and I know it can be done.........
