Contrast Cut if you are going to do the front end black and... chrome if you are going chrome front end... IMHO the front end color dictates which way to go with the wheel color...

Black and Chrome with a lot of black. I like contrast.

Lets see a pic of your bike. The strangest color combo I have seen but that looks great is a black and light blue Heritage with fat daddy wheels with chrome rims and hubs and white spokes. It looks extremely elegant. I do not have a pic. I have trouble visualizing without a pic, too.

black would look good against blue......chrome would look good also........you ever thought of a powdercoat blue??? That might seem nice as well. Or....contrast cut, and blue????

IMO, Pewter Pearl is a 'rich' color that goes well with chrome wheels. If it was a denim pewter I'd lean towards black. Take a look at the Touring Bike Picture thread, start at page 52 and work you way back. There's a lot of great looking SG's there with a lot of different wheels...maybe that'll help you out.

It was mentioned to go with a blue powdercoat. If you go to Hog Pro's website and look at the pics under the bagger section there is a bike with blue wheels. I will leave my opinion to myself just in case. I have black forks with a chrome wheel. I think you can go either way.

I feel chrome you cant go wrong but personally imo If im going for more of a street look rough-urban- Id go contrast cut def turns heads but my fav. is colormatched wheels if you want to be noticed do something different but in the end do what makes you happy and what you like you can always powder a wheel black for cheap but to chrome a wheel much more keep that in mind.
