Anyone ever try putting their EZ pass in one of their lower fairings ? Been reading about guys putting it in the upper fairing and the light bulb just went off over my head.
You have saddlebags, just velcro it into the front slope of either saddlebag. Works like a charm and is under lock and key too. No problem with mine mounted there. Why bury it into a fairing?
I tried mine for the first time this past weekend and it didn't work. It was mounted inside the left lower fairing. I then put it in my jacket pocket and it didn't work. Next I held it in my hand so nothing obstructed it from the tool booth transponder, didn't work. I called them today and their only solution was to mount it on the windshield. I told him I was not going to do that so he said just hold it in my hand. I said, you've never ridden a motorcycle have you. Of course he had not. So I demanded a new transponder. Hopefully the next one will work. I like the idea of mounting it on the lid of the left saddlebag. That is where this one is going to go.
I put mine in my windshield pouch......works fine for me.
Some people have said they just leave them in a chest pocket in their jacket and it worked. Some have said on the inside lid of the tourpak, some have said in the fairing lowers box.
